The teachers and students at Kino are off to another great school year. We are now having classes and activities safely indoors and will be resuming field trips, with outings to the theater, Sonoran Glass School, and the Animal Shelter. Community activities, like the annual Hoedown, Book Breakfast, and movie nights, have resumed. Parent/teacher/student conferences are once again held in person, and parent volunteers were welcomed back this year.
The summer monsoons were greatly appreciated, but also caused extensive damage to the animal center. The roof to the structures was damaged, and the area needs to be cleaned up, damaged materials removed, and the roof repaired. An estimated cost for the needed repairs and clean-up is $19,340.
We are asking that you please make a generous donation to help us meet this goal. The animal center embodies the hands-on learning experience that Kino provides, and students of all ages love caring for and training the animals. With the roof repairs and clean-up, the animal center could better serve as an outdoor classroom space for creating and learning. Please help us keep this an active, safe learning area for our students.
All donations are tax deductible. You can send your donation check, payable to Kino School, back in the enclosed envelope, or donate online at https://www.kinoschool.org/make-a-donation.html. Thank you for supporting Kino!
