Kino School recently celebrated it's 40th year reunion.
Alumni, students and faculty from all over the country came together for this incredible community celebration. Many noted that much has changed since the founding of Kino. The world has in some ways grown larger while at the same time become smaller. What hasn't changed is the educational philosophy upon which Kino was built. Education is a life long process. We are learning all the time through our own interactions with ourselves and the world.
Kino Alumni are the living essence of this deeply held belief. They are caring, capable, creative, hardworking, and thoughtful adults. They are teachers, doctors, social workers, chefs, soldiers, artists, entrepreneurs, journalists, emergency medical techs, musicians, lawyers, professors, and construction workers. Some of our graduates return to Kino as parents, teachers, board members, and volunteers. Kino Alumni are doing amazing work in the world. Here are just a few of hundreds of stories: Alumni Spotlight: Ashley, Eleanor, Haddon, Jon & Jamie...
Read Elanor Davis latest article published in the Smithsonian. The amazing tale of a determined art director who harnessed the powers of the greatest illustrators around the world to blow kids's minds.
