Sylvia Robbins has a diploma in Lower Elementary Education and a diploma in Upper Elementary Education from the North American Montessori Center in Canada. In addition, she has a Master’s in Art’s from the University of Arizona. She has been a teacher’s aide volunteer at Kino for 2 ½ years.
She is the mother of four highly creative children, two of whom were former Kino students. Her passion is nurturing human potential. “I see every child as gifted and feel it is a teacher’s responsibility to awaken these gifts.”
Her interests include but are not limited to the following: visual and performing arts, paper maché crafting, story writing for children, reading historical fiction and nonfiction (particularly medieval periods), global religions, spirituality and metaphysical studies, mental and physical health, nutrition, wholistic medicine, physical fitness, studying past and current cultures- “Thank you National Geographic for helping me understand myself and the world better each and every day!”
