Today everyone spent the morning gardening.
We started the day singing a growing song: Inch by Inch, with Lisa and Jack playing their guitars. We then switched on a boom box powered by the wind generator on the roof. We planted a peach tree, started a worm farm, and planted strawberries, garlic, chives, flowers, potatoes, artichokes, greens of all kinds, cherry tomatoes, and plenty of other stuff I’m forgetting.
Though it wasn’t part of the plan, we also buried a dead pack rat. “We thought we’d bury this pack rat where the soil is dry and sandy, and the next time we find a dead pack rat we can bury it where the soil is moist. Then we can compare what happens,” explained Anna.
