Andrew is currently teaching Math and Science at Kino school. He completed his MS degree in Optical Sciences at The University of Arizona, from which he also earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to teaching at Kino, Andrew has taught Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering at Pima Community College. He has also served as a Patent Examiner at the US Patent Office - determining the originality and patentability of new inventions in electronics. Andrew is also an Eagle Scout, and continues to volunteer as a leader in the Boy Scouts - where he has served as a troop leader and summer camp counselor for many years.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys hiking, camping and traveling. He appreciates good food, and especially enjoys great coffee! Andrew also has a passion for the instrumental music known as “Easy Listening” or “Elevator Music” – spending much time researching and collecting this now-rare music genre. He currently runs an internet radio station called “The Oasis – Modern Easy Listening.”
Andrew grew up mostly in Tucson, and considers this area to be home. His is passionate about teaching, and excited to be a part of the Kino community.
