Heather West
Heather has been a Kino teacher since 2006. Along with being a homeroom teacher, she does math and science with primary, midlevel, and junior high kids, as well as outdoor stuff in the garden and at the Animal Center. She has taken kids on some of our most ambitious field trips, like year’s trip to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
She received her B.A. from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, home of the Fighting Geoducks. At Evergreen, she focused on visual art, though she also studied such diverse topics as Orissi dance, American Sign Language, the chemistry of ceramics, political economy, environmental design, and sociology.
